Christy became part of the Self-Help Network in May of 2004 as a project facilitator. She is currently a member of the Consumer Run Organization team and is also a member of the Community Organizational Development team. Christy is an alum of Wichita State University, earning both her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Education in Counseling from WSU. Since completing her graduate studies in 1997, Christy has worked and volunteered in a variety of educational and social service settings providing individual and group counseling support services, volunteer management, education and training, as well as grant management and administration. She has approximately seven and a half years of experience in the non-profit sector and working with collaborative community partnerships. In
her spare time, Christy, along with her husband Steve, can usually
be found working on a home remodeling project together. She also
enjoys reading, exercising and gardening or just hanging out with
friends and family, including her cats.
