Sam
became part of the Self-Help Network in May of 2004 as a Community
and Organizational Specialist. As part of the Consumer Run Organization
team, he assists grassroots, nonprofit organizations operated
by persons with mental Illness by providing them with technical
support to help them become self-sufficient organizations.
Sam
graduated from the College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, NM, earning
a Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Administration.
Upon completing his degree he served two years teaching at an
agricultural College in Lesotho, Africa with the United States
Peace Corps. He brings nine years of nonprofit management and
two years of economic development experience to the Self-Help
Network.
When
he is not working, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors and with
his two daughters and wife Lynda. His favorite activities are
coaching, gardening, home maintenance, and church activities.
