Tara Gregory, new to the research and Compassion Kansas teams, has a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in German from Wichita State. She also has an M.A. in Community Psychology from WSU. Tara has 18 years of experience working in nonprofits related to substance abuse prevention and treatment, youth leadership development and training, community assessment and mobilization, grant writing, and nonprofit management. She is a certified substance abuse prevention specialist, taught the drugs and human behavior class at WSU from 1990-2005, and has worked as a WSU orientation coordinator for two years.

Tara is an avid runner and loves being physically active, especially outside. She loves music of all kinds and movies. Born in Germany, Tara enjoys traveling there and learning new things about the culture. Tara also has a new sheltie dog, Vienna, named after her trip to Austria last Christmas.
